In a recent episode of the You Can Never Beat Kyle Walker Podcast, former Manchester City defender Kyle Walker shared his thoughts on his best teammate during his time at Manchester City. When asked who he thought was his best City teammate, Walker had no hesitation in picking David Silva and believes he slightly outshone teammate Kevin De Bruyne in some areas.
Walker emphasized that while De Bruyne is also an extremely good player, David Silva holds a special place in his heart. He praised Silva for his exceptional ball skills and pitch intelligence, being able to turn a bad pass into a miraculous one, and turning it into a threatening attack even when he receives a bad pass. Walker also singled out the understanding between Silva and Sane as showing great tactical nous and chemistry when they are together.
Walker also said that while Aguero is also a very good player, his personal opinion is more in favor of David Silva. He believes that Silva is not only technically brilliant, but also understands the needs of the team very well and can always contribute to the team at crucial moments.
In addition, Walker also mentioned De Bruyne's amazing performances on the pitch, such as scoring straight after a short pass from a corner against West Ham. However, he still insists that David Silva is better in some ways from an individual perspective.
