According to the latest report of TyC Sports, a well-known Argentine sports media, Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero has become the target of a number of giants, including Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, such as Europe's top clubs, in this summer's transfer market. However, in the face of strong interest from the outside world, the Tottenham Hotspur club attitude is resolute, a clear response that Romero is the team's non-sale, rejected all inquiries about his transfer.

For their part, United had hoped to recruit Romero to join forces with Argentine national teammate Lisandro Martinez to create an impenetrable backline. However, this vision did not materialize and United eventually opted for other reinforcement targets, including Leni Yoro from Lille, as well as Derek De Ligt and Mazlavi from Bayern Munich, to strengthen the team's defensive strength.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain also made a move in the transfer market as they brought in Ecuadorian center back William Pacho from Eintracht Frankfurt for around £34 million to further strengthen their defense. Real Madrid, on the other hand, kept a relatively cautious approach in this transfer window and did not sign any new defenders, but fortunately, Vallejo, who had completed his loan, returned from Granada to add a safeguard to the team's backline.

However, the TyC Sports report also reminds fans that Romero's transfer rumors may not have died down. As next summer approaches, interest in Romero from other teams could be reignited when he has just two years left on his contract with Tottenham. Unless Romero can agree on a new contract with Tottenham before then, his future remains uncertain. Currently, Romero's contract with Spurs is valid until June 2027, but the shifting sands of the transfer market are always unpredictable.
