Founded in 1908, Feyenoord is one of the three traditional powerhouses of Dutch soccer, standing toe-to-toe with Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, and once monopolized the Dutch soccer world for nearly 40 years. The last time they won the Dutch Eredivisie was in the 2022-2023 season.
Feyenoord supporters are considered to be the most loyal group of fans, nicknamed the "Roman Legion" Feyenoord's arch rivals from Amsterdam, Ajax, and in the past there have been numerous clashes between the two sides' fans, both big and small.
The Feyenoord Stadium, nicknamed the "Water Tank", is a stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands, which was opened in 1937 and is the home stadium of Feyenoord. It had a capacity of 64,000 spectators at the time of its inauguration and 69,000 at its peak (1949), but now has a capacity of 52,000. Feyenoord Stadium has been the home stadium of the Dutch national soccer team for a long time and has hosted more than 150 international matches.
