In a talk show on Radio Sel, veteran coach Flores gave his insights on the coaching of Barcelona by Xavi and his predecessor, Frick. He emphasized that the evaluation of the two coaches should be separated objectively to avoid turning the positive evaluation of one into negative criticism of the other. Taking himself as an example, Flores pointed out a common phenomenon in the coaching world: every coach may be praised for his new atmosphere at the beginning of his tenure, but with the passage of time and change of situation, the evaluation standard will be adjusted accordingly. He mentioned that the positive feedback he received when he took over Getafe three years ago, and the different evaluations he encountered when Michel took over later, are vivid embodiments of this phenomenon.

Flores further pointed out that Harvey and Furyk each face different challenges and opportunities, and that player lineups, season goals, and even the overall soccer environment are constantly changing. Therefore, a direct comparison between the two is not fair, nor is it consistent with the complexity and variability of the soccer game. He called on the public and the media to give each coach enough respect and understanding, recognizing that each coach has his or her own unique coaching style and ability to adapt to the environment.

Finally, Flores expressed his good wishes to all concerned. He mentioned the outstanding performance of many Barcelona players last season and hoped that they would continue to maintain their form and enjoy the happiness brought by soccer in the new season. At the same time, he also expressed his concern for the Sevilla team, hoping that they can solve the current problems they are facing as soon as possible, get back on track, and bring more exciting matches to the fans.
