Dutch soccer legend and former Tottenham Hotspur star Van der Vaart has praised Harry Kane's career choice and regretted his failure to win the Bundesliga title in his first season at Bayern Munich in a recent media interview. Van der Vaart's comments show his respect for Kane's professional attitude and personal loyalty, while also recognizing the England striker's outstanding performances at Bayern.

Van der Vaart began by emphasizing Kane's deep feelings and sense of belonging to the club as a player developed in the Tottenham youth system. He believes that Kane's choice to stay in the Premier League and eventually move to Bayern rather than join another Premier League club was a wise and loyal decision. Van der Vaart pointed out that if Kane chose to play for other Premier League giants, such as Manchester United, and scored against Tottenham Hotspur, it would go against his deep emotional attachment to Tottenham, which, while common in football, is unusual for a player of Kane's caliber.

Van der Vaart then spoke highly of Kane's performance at Bayern. He believes that Kane's move to Bayern is a good idea because Bayern has a strong and stable championship competitiveness that can provide Kane with more honors and challenges. In fact, Kane's first season at Bayern showed amazing goal-scoring efficiency, a total of 45 appearances scored 44 goals and sent 12 assists, such performance undoubtedly proved his strength and value.

However, van der Vaart also regretted Kane's failure to win the Bundesliga title in his first season at Bayern. He pointed out that the unexpected rise of Leverkusen broke Bayern's monopoly and made Kane miss the chance to win the trophy in his first season at Bayern. Van der Vaart said that he felt lost for Kane, as the result was really a bit unfair for a player who worked so hard and excelled.
