He mentions a personal relationship with national team manager Dorival, which may help him to return to the national team, but he also understands that ultimately it is a matter of strength.
Secondly, Oscar spoke highly of his generation of internationals born in the early 90s, including Lucas Moura, Casemiro, Neymar, Danilo and others, saying that he believes that their generation of players is well above average, and that everyone is capable of contributing to the national team. He specifically mentioned Lucas Moura's call-up as a positive sign, proving that there is a chance to return to the national team if they perform well.
Speaking about the demise of the midfield passer, Oscar argued that the evolution of modern soccer has led to changes in the roles and playing styles of players. He mentioned that players like De Bruyne play an important last pass role in the team, which is not common in other teams. He himself, on the other hand, prefers a player who needs to carry the ball and defend, which is more in line with the trend of modern soccer.
Regarding the 1-7 defeat that Brazil had experienced, Oscar said that it was an accident that will not happen again. He admitted that the manner of the defeat was grueling, but the team also showed effort in the game to try and turn things around.
Finally, when it comes to Chinese soccer, Oscar expressed his opinion. He thinks that the Chinese team is not performing well, especially some players who are doing well in the league are failing to perform in the national team. He especially mentioned Wu Lei, who is the golden boot of the Chinese league, but in the national team people expect too much from him, wanting him to do everything, which in turn affects his play. Oscar believes Wu Lei should be a goal scorer and not be asked to take too much responsibility.
