After last season's highly praised performance, Leeds United have been relegated to the bottom of the table this season, and their highly regarded team leader Birsa has started to be questioned. According to the Daily Mail, Leeds United are waiting to see if Birsa's contract will be renewed, and are making a backup plan to hire former RB Leipzig coach Joshua if they part ways with Birsa this summer.

Bielsa, 66, has been working with Leeds United on a yearly contract and is in the last half of the contract. In the past, Leeds United had outstanding results and the club's senior management would of course wait patiently for Bielsa's reply, but Leeds United's results are declining this season and Bielsa's bargaining power has dropped, so they will part ways at any time if there is a delay in the renewal of the contract.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Leeds United have named former RB Leipzig coach John Marsh as their number one target, with the American coach having come from the same school.
