Speaking about Lingard's situation under Ronnick, Chadwick said, "Lingard hasn't been given much of a chance since the new manager came in and I'm baffled by that. Rangnick wants to play very energetic soccer and no one has more energy than Lingard. In a 4222 formation, Lingard is probably the best player in the side at running behind the strikers and not just pulling the ball in."
"Considering the way he plays, and the style of soccer under Ronnie, I think Lingard deserves a chance to play until the end of the season, and he could be a real asset."
