, The two teams repeatedly sparked strife over foul play in this game, and Kane's post-game remarks brought the tension off the field.

The most controversial thing in this game, appeared in the Kane & Robertson in the first and second half of each savage foul. In the 19th minute of the first half, Kane brought down Robertson with a rough sliding tackle in a defense, which once made Klopp on the sidelines waved his fist to express his dissatisfaction, and the referee showed Kane a yellow card for it. In the 75th minute of the second half, Robertson kicked Emerson with a violent action in a sideline defense, and was sent off by the referee after seeing the VAR and showing a straight red. The referee's deviation in the standard of his decisions in the first and second halves also sparked some controversy.

After the match, Kane, one of the people involved in the incident, was interviewed. Talking about the foul controversy in the first half, he made it clear that he thought the action was not a red card, "No, definitely not, I thought it was a strong shovel, I thought I touched the ball first. When you play against cutting-edge teams, sometimes there are moves like that. The referee reviewed the shot (acknowledged the call) and then we continued the game."

"I didn't think it was a foul but Robertson then thought I had touched his foot first. When you slow the action down, maybe the footage looks a little bit bad, but VAR played its part. Heavyweight fights tend to have action like that and I wouldn't worry about it. Frankly, I was even surprised at being shown a yellow card."
