The draw for the 1/8 finals took place on the same day, with the above eight teams unseeded and the eight second-placed teams in the UEFA Cup group seeded. The draw adopts escape criteria, with the two rounds taking place on February 17th and 24th, with the seeded teams going first before the hosts. The winners of the eight matches advance to the last 16 of the UEFA Cup, and then play 1/8 knockout matches against the eight UEFA Cup group leaders.
