In the interview, he answered questions about his strongest rival on the soccer field and his personal life.

Here's the interview (Morgan's questions are in bold):

The strongest opponent you'll ever meet on the soccer field

Lionel Messi (1987-), Argentine footballer

Really?

Of course, he's the strongest opponent I've ever met. But you're asking the wrong question.

So what's the right question?

You should have asked me who the best player was.

I think I know the answer to that question (laughs)

If you don't think you're the best player, not number one in your job, then you're not thinking right.

Your thoughts when it comes to the achievement?

It's great, I love being number one. But the most important thing to me is being number one at my job, soccer, and then being number one in my home and with my kids. The rest of that stuff is out of my control.

Do you enjoy being famous?

Honestly it's boring. It's boring to me.

I don't mind getting bored.

In the beginning it's great, you're famous, you're a great player, winning trophies, scoring goals, you're headline duty, whether it's in the papers or on TV. But then many years later you look at life in a different way, you have a girlfriend, you have kids, you want to have privacy, but it's gone. I don't have privacy anymore. If I had the chance, I'd fight to earn that personal space. People will say, "Yeah, but you're rich, you have money and a car and a house." But that's not all there is to it. Believe me, being too famous is not a good thing.

Do you know how many times I've taken my kids to the park in the last two years? (Pause) 0 times. If I went out there, there would be a lot of people coming there out of the blue, and the kids would be really nervous, and my girlfriend and I would be nervous. I can't go to a bar with my friends either because I know they wouldn't feel comfortable if they went with me.

Do you feel like you're trapped in a cage right now?

To a certain extent, yes. But there's nothing that can be done to change things now. I think my greatest strength is my willpower. Becoming number one takes a lot of hard work and sacrifice. Talent alone is not enough. If you don't give your 100%, you won't achieve what you expect. If you're lazy and waste time, that will have a big impact, even if you're talented.

Your girlfriend Georgina.

She has helped me a lot, she is the mother of my children and I have always had a passion for her. I am totally devoted to her and she does the same for me and I am very happy with her.

So you're getting married?

Don't rush the marriage. There's pressure. But one day it will be. It's my mom's wish too. You'll be invited to our wedding. Don't worry. I have great kids, girlfriend, family and friends. I never regret it. For me I'm honored to be in my current position. I am very hungry for victory. It's my sacrifice and I worked hard for it. I don't follow the record, I let the record follow me.
