The game against Newcastle begins and any fans traveling to Old Trafford for the game should be prepared for a spot check on the new crown epidemic.

If you don't have a COVID pass, can you enter the course?

For now, fans without that certification will still be allowed in, unless, of course, they test positive for COVID-19. This may change in the future. However, we strongly encourage all fans over the age of 18 to be prepared to provide their COVID-19 test status at all Old Trafford matches.

Why are we doing this?

Mandatory COVID-19 inspections will be introduced from October 1, the government said.

England Premier Soccer League

The League and its clubs are obliged to follow national government guidelines to ensure that all fans are able to attend matches safely and to try to avoid further spectator restrictions in the future.

Doesn't that include children?

Yes. Individuals under the age of 18 are not required to certify their COVID-19 fitness status, but we encourage those under 18 to have an up-to-date test prior to watching the game.

Can you be excused for any other reason?

A small number of fans who are unable to be vaccinated or tested for medical reasons will be exempt. These fans will be asked to declare their medical exemption certificates directly to club staff and follow government guidelines.

How do you display your NHS (National Health System) COVID-19 pass if you don't have a smartphone?

You can call 119 to ask for proof of vaccination or have a letter of proof sent to you through the NHS NHS website.

How do I get a COVID health pass letter from the NHS?

You can request a PDF version via the NHS website and print it out. You can display a text or email confirming that you have received a negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours of the start.

How does it work for fans from other parts of the UK?

Fans from other parts of the UK can confirm test status via text and email or request a letter showing vaccination status to prove COVID status. The new crown test must be carried out no later than 48 hours before kick-off.

Proof of vaccination is required for Scotland, an NHS COVID-19 pass is required for Wales to show your vaccination status and proof of COVID is required for Northern Ireland.

What about those from overseas?

Vaccinated fans from outside England can provide proof of vaccination from the country in which they were vaccinated. Unvaccinated fans from outside England may submit a negative PCR test result as required in their travel documents or a negative PCR test result from any testing center or pharmacy. The test must be carried out no later than 48 hours before kick-off.

What should I do if I am not fully vaccinated?

If you have not been fully vaccinated prior to the race (including those who have had a second dose of vaccine within two weeks of the start of the race), you will be required to have a PCR or associated test within 48 hours of the start of the race. Proof of your negative test result must be shown via your NHS COVID passport or by email or text message.

Will the NHS COVID pass rules be permanent?

Our health guidelines are subject to change. We anticipate that restrictions on COVID-19 will eventually be relaxed, but this will depend on the prevalence of the new coronavirus in the country and government recommendations.

Are there any other restrictions in place at the stadium for the new crown outbreak?

Yes, if the relevant government guidance refuses you admission then you cannot be admitted. For example, you have been tested and followed up by the NHS requiring self-isolation; are subject to isolation after traveling; or because you develop any of the COVID-19 symptoms including a high fever, a new and persistent cough, or loss of and changes in your sense of taste or smell, even if these symptoms are mild. At Old Trafford, we ask that all fans wear masks indoors. We also expect fans to show responsibility and respect to other fans and club staff.

I am a season ticket holder or club member, do I need to show my NHS New Crown Pass for every game?

All persons over the age of 18 must be prepared to show their NHS COVID pass before entering the stadium for each game.

Can I do the test at the stadium?

There will be no facilities at the stadium to conduct the new crown test. You can obtain the test from pharmacies and other collection points or travel to the test location.

Who conducts the inspections?

A dedicated team of COVID security consultants will be in place to conduct inspections. This team will be separate from the safety and security staff.
