On the eve of the highly anticipated North London Derby in the 4th round of the English Premier League, Arsenal striker Bukayo Saka spoke to the media and shared his expectations for the game as well as his personal recollections of classic moments from past North London Derbies.
Saka began by expressing his deep affection for the traditional North London Derby: "I remember many North London Derbies, each one full of passion and competition. But two of those matches have left a particularly deep impression on me. One was Rosicky's goal at White Hart Lane, which was unbeatable, and every time I think back to that moment, my blood boils. The other was our 4-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur which I was personally involved in, the goals from Aubameyang and Lacazette are still unforgettable and that game showed our team spirit and attacking firepower."
Recalling his days as a fan watching the derby, Saka smiled and said, "In the past, when I was a young player, I would get tickets to go to the field with my teammates from the youth camp. At that time, sitting in the audience, watching the players on the field fighting for honor, I dreamed of the day I could also stand on that grass, scoring goals for Arsenal. If I knew I could score in a derby, it would be one of the most exciting moments of my career and I'm sure I would have the biggest smile on my face!"
Saka's speech was full of anticipation for the game and love for Arsenal. As an important member of the team, he understands the importance of this derby for the club and the fans. In the upcoming match, he will do his best to win for Arsenal, and at the same time, he hopes to leave his own classic moments in the derby.
