The UEFA European Association League, referred to as the "UEFA Cup", is the third tier of UEFA's salon competitions under the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup. Like the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup, the UEFA Cup is also based on the points coefficient of each league. A total of 184 teams will compete in the UEFA Cup, including teams from 55 league associations and 46 salons relegated from the Champions League and UEFA Europa League. All teams will fight to reach the group stage, just like in the Champions League and UEFA, with the 32 teams divided into eight groups, followed by the round of 16 knockout rounds, quarterfinals, semifinals and final. The final will be played on May 25, 2022, in Tirana, the capital of Albania. In addition, the UEFA Cup group stage will be reduced from 48 to 32 teams from 2021.

With all the major leagues now over, some of the European Cup places are now available.

First of all, let's understand the "UEFA Cup" 32 quota allocation, in the group stage before the same as the Champions League and UEFA Cup, three rounds of qualifying and a round of play-offs, divided into the main route and the championship route, from the Champions League and the UEFA Cup championship route to the team will be relegated to the championship route. The group stage round of 32 consists of the 17 teams that advanced through the main UEFA Cup route, the five teams that advanced through the UEFA Cup winners' route and the 10 teams that were eliminated in the UEFA Cup play-offs.

6th in La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A and 5th in Ligue 1 to qualify for the play-offs (if the domestic cup winners of these leagues have now achieved Champions League & UEFA qualification across the leagues, the UEFA qualification of the domestic cup winners will be deferred to the 6th in the league <5th in Ligue 1>, and the qualification for the UEFA Cup qualification round of the league 6 will be deferred to the 7th in the league ); Portuguese Super League 4th, 3rd in the leagues of Russia, Belgium, Ukraine, Netherlands, Turkey, Austria for the 3rd round of the qualification round; 5th in the Portuguese Premier League, 4th in the leagues of Russia, Belgium, Ukraine, Netherlands, Turkey, Austria, 3rd and 4th in the leagues of Denmark, Scotland and the Czech Republic for the 2nd round of the qualification round, and so on. As the major leagues wind down, there are still a number of familiar teams in the top five leagues that will appear in next season's UEFA Cup.

England Premier Soccer League

The original rule for England should have been for the League Cup winners to participate, but because the current League Cup winners were Manchester City, the Premier League champions of the season, a Champions League place was automatically confirmed. As FA Cup winners and fifth in the league, Leicester qualified for next season's UEFA Cup. Tottenham Hotspur ended up seventh in the league, and because both the FA Cup winner and the League Cup winner received European qualifications, Tottenham Hotspur ended up qualifying for next season's UEFA Cup.

La Liga

Villarreal finished seventh in the league, and according to the rules will be qualified to participate in the new UEFA Association League (UEFA Cup) next season, but because they also reached the final of the UEFA Cup, the Yellow Submarine's qualification for next season's European competition is yet to be determined. If they lose the UEFA Cup final, they will participate in the UEFA Cup next season; if they beat Manchester United to win the title, they will be directly qualified for the UEFA Champions League, and no La Liga team will participate in the UEFA Cup at that time.

Serie A

If the Coppa Italia winners have now gained European qualification through the league, then the Coppa Italia winners' UEFA qualification will be deferred to the sixth in the league. This season's Coppa Italia winner is Juve, who finished fourth in the league, automatically confirming their Champions League seat, and thus the sixth in Serie A will be deferred to the UEFA Cup, so the sixth in the league's UEFA Cup qualification will be deferred to the seventh in the league. This season, Roma finished seventh in the league, thus Roma will participate in the UEFA Cup next season.

Bundesliga

Because the German Cup winner Borussia Dortmund has been awarded the Champions League qualification, and thus the UEFA qualification attributed to the German Cup winner was postponed accordingly, the sixth Bundesliga was awarded the UEFA Cup qualification, and the seventh was awarded the UEFA Cup qualification. Therefore, the seventh in the league, Union Berlin, obtained the UEFA Cup qualification.

France A

Because Paris confirmed its Champions League credentials and won the Coupe de France, UEFA Cup qualification will be handed to Marseille, fifth in Ligue 1, with sixth-placed Rennes gaining UEFA Cup qualification.
