May 24 (Xinhua) -- The 20 clubs in the Premier League are estimated to distribute more than 2.5 billion pounds in prize money for the 2020-2021 season, with champions Manchester City estimated to receive about 154 million pounds and last-place Sheffield United estimated to receive 91 million pounds, according to the Daily Mail.
The bonus is said to be net of the amount the club will have to return to the OBs as a result of the suspension of the new crown epidemic for the 2019-2020 season.
The Premier League reached an agreement the previous summer to return £330 million to broadcasters, with £107 million of that amount due to overseas broadcasters, paid in July of the previous year and deducted from last season's Premier League prize money.
The £223 million balance to be returned to domestic broadcasters Sky Sports and BT Sport will be returned in two installments, with the first set to be paid this summer and the second delayed until the end of the 2021-22 season.
