Manchester United are planning to get Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane for Jesse Lingard as compensation, according to British media reports.
They have now offered Kane a five-year contract at £300,000 a week, and after the end of the season Kane has now expressed the idea of leaving Tottenham.
According to the Times, Lingard could be included in the transfer, with the possibility of him going to play for Tottenham in the future. The report claims that Manchester United are in talks with Tottenham, and it is widely believed that Manchester City could be Kane's next home if he decides to leave the club this summer.
Guardiola has been asked about this by some media and the Premier League-winning coach was tight-lipped about it, saying, "Next question, Kane is now a Tottenham Hotspur signing, I have no comment."
Manchester United manager Solskjaer said in an interview, "I can't say we won't sign strikers, we are adding strong solid country, I hope to start next season with more strength, add the stability of the formation, and deal with teams stronger than us." Asked if it was Kane, Solskjaer said, "I can't talk about players from other teams now. It's a matter of respect for the player and the team. Tottenham have a lot of excellent players, who wouldn't want Messi or Crow, but we can't talk about that."
Kane has twice recently expressed his intention to leave Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season, who have been unable to compete in the Champions League for two years in a row and have been disappointed by the team's results. The England captain has 32 goals and 16 assists this season. He has scored an even 24 goals in each of the last seven seasons.
