England Premier Soccer League

In the league, West Ham United lost 0-1 to Everton and are already five points away from fourth place Leicester City. After the match, Hammers midfielder Lingard showed that such a result is disappointing, but the team needs to pull themselves together.

Lingard had this to say: "We dominated the game and it's disappointing that we conceded a bit of a sloppy goal. We tried our best in the second half, but we didn't really create a chance. The atmosphere in the dressing room after the game was very low, everyone was very disappointed, but we need to pick ourselves up because we have an important game next week."

Speaking about Benrahma's missed opportunity, Lingard said, "I don't think it puts pressure on him, he'll be in the right position to shoot, it's about execution, that's all. As a team, we're united, we're trying to help each other to get into the right positions and score."

"Football is like that, it depends on how we handle the game and how we adapt. I think we adapted well and we controlled the game, but we didn't create clear moments and finish. We need to be focused, we can't be sloppy, we need to have the right attitude in the game so that we can be quick at the start of the game and win."
