After a season of battles on and off the pitch, Burnley have two wins, two draws and three defeats from seven games in March and April. Manager Dyche says it's down to hard work from him and the team.
Dyche says: This season is going to be very difficult for many reasons. We still have a lot of work to do, but even in this situation it is difficult. There are many challenges on and off the field: the lack of funds for the team, the turnover of directors and the many injuries to the team are all elements that are troubling us."
But on top of all those challenges, we showed great resilience, as we were labeled by Ian Holloway a few years ago. We were mentally very strong and the team operations staff and I were infected by the temperament shown by the players on the pitch. I was always proud of the players. Whether they lost or won, they always brought a lot to the table. I said in my first press conference that the only thing I can guarantee is the sweat of the jersey, which means the players will give a lot to do what we have to do."
