According to the club's development needs, in order to achieve the season goals more effectively, it has been decided by the club's research that Mr. Edwin Peterson will serve as the Technical Director and First Team Head Coach of Shaanxi United Football Club with immediate effect.
Edwin Petersen was born on May 16, 1969 in the Netherlands and graduated from the Central Institute of Sport in the Netherlands. He was the head coach and former technical director of the Dutch U14-U19 national teams in several age groups, including Steven Berwyn, Noah Lang, Fergie de Jong, De Ligt, Malacia, Justin Bailo and other Dutch stars. They were all selected for the Dutch national youth team, coached by Edwin Petersen.
Edwin Peterson served as assistant coach of Guangzhou City Football Club in the Chinese Super League in 2022 and as technical director of Shaanxi Qinying Football Club in 2023.
