In the 23rd round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on August 16th, during Beijing Guoan's home match against Zhejiang, Zhang Yuning attacked his opponent with his elbow in the penalty area, and the referee then showed him a red card and sent him off. In the end, Guoan and Zhejiang shook hands with 0-0.
The Chinese Football Association imposed a three-match suspension and a fine of 30,000 RMB in accordance with the regulations.
