The Shandong Taishan-based team has a youth training base in Brazil, which has featured a player named Caio. Caio is currently 21 years old and has yet to play in any official professional league. He has been playing in the German League and has not been able to show what he can do. Therefore, I don't think bringing him in would help Shandong Taishan much. Although he is rumored to be an all-around midfielder, no one knows exactly how good he is. So far he hasn't appeared in the Barclays Premier League or Barclays B League. He's not very tall, but he's a good defender and adds a hardness to the team.

I'm not too optimistic about this deal because it's not good to bring in foreigners like this just to save money. I think young Chinese players should be developed. Since Cui Kangxi came to Shandong Taishan, the foreigners have not been performing well, Pato has not been performing well and has been declared out for the season, and Zeca was seriously injured before the official match. Although the newly introduced Kaza is not bad, he overlapped with Kressan and didn't play as well as he should have, while the newly introduced Bi Jinhao was useless. If the introduction of Kayo also fails to work, it is only a matter of time before he leaves Shandong Taishan.

If Shandong Taishan does sign Kayo, then they will have three foreign aiders, namely Kayo, Kaza and Zeka. Whether this team of three foreign aiders can become the core strength of Shandong Taishan team really makes us full of expectations.
