On April 28, Portuguese coach Andre Villas-Boas, who has guided English Premier League side Chelsea and Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG, has been elected as FC Porto's 32nd president, whose term of office will run until 2028, according to a report by Beijing Time.

Andre Villas-Boas was born in October 1977 and led FC Porto to the UEFA Cup in 2011, becoming the youngest winning coach in the tournament's history. He has subsequently coached Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Zenit St. Petersburg and Shanghai SIPG.

Boles previously ran for the presidency of FC Porto and was ultimately successful, ending the 42-year reign of former president Pinto da Costa.
