Salzburg's home ground is the Red Bull Arena.
Red Bull Salzburg is a soccer club based in Salzburg, Austria, founded in 1933 and inaugurated in March 2003, expanding to 30,200 seats for the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship.
On April 6, 2005, the club was fully acquired by the famous beverage brand Red Bull Energy Drink and renamed "Salzburg". With the full support of the sponsors, a number of national players joined the team, including the former German national soccer team captain Lothar Matthäus and the former Italian national soccer team manager Giovanni Trautoni.
