The Chinese Football Association (CFA) released the schedule for the 2024 professional league yesterday. According to an analysis by the Tonight Newspaper, the final one-week double-header of the new Chinese Super League season will take place in mid-to-late June, meaning teams will no longer have to play back-to-back matches in blistering hot conditions.

The 2024 Chinese Super League kicks off a month and a half earlier than the 2023 campaign, and will kick off on March 1st and run through November 2nd. Naturally, the first official match of the new season remains the CFA Super Cup pitting Shanghai Harbour against Shanghai Shenhua. The match is scheduled for February 25th and is located at the Shanghai Hongkou Football Stadium.

According to the calendar, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) has organized the training of the Chinese men's football team in strict accordance with FIFA's international match days, which are divided into six parts throughout the season. Notably, the CSL will be held during the U23 Asian Cup and the Paris Olympics as usual. Additionally, there will be four occasions when the CSL will play two matches in one week. The last of these occurs in mid-to-late June, meaning teams will no longer have to play back-to-back matches in hot conditions.
