The Chinese Football Association (CFA) announced its foreign aid policy for the new season and at the same time allowed clubs to commercially title their first team and youth teams at all levels, and also removed geographical restrictions. There is no doubt that this is a complete repudiation of Chen Xuyuan, and the new season of the Chinese Super League will have some changes compared to the past.

In the past, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) had been led by Chen Xuyuan, who implemented policies that led to the struggles of the Chinese Super League. Now that Song Kai is in charge of the CFA, everything has changed.

Firstly, Chinese Super League teams have the right to register seven foreign players, but they can only register a maximum of five foreign players per game and can only play a maximum of five foreign players. For teams with strong financial resources, this will make them much stronger. For teams with tight funds, their competitiveness in the Chinese Super League will be weakened.

Secondly, the CFA released the Chinese Football Association's Professional Club and Team Name Management Regulations, which stipulates that professional clubs can seek naming cooperation for their first team and ladder teams for the 2024 to 2028 seasons while maintaining a neutral club name. By making such a significant adjustment to the rules, the CFA is actually trying to help clubs in difficulty improve their situation as much as possible and create favorable conditions for the sustainable development of the league.

The latest document recently released by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) also mentions that clubs have the right to change their registered address by applying for a change of registered member association. This means that clubs are free to choose to relocate. The document also stipulates that once a club has successfully applied for relocation, it is in principle not allowed to apply for a change of registered member association again within the next five years.

It is clear to see that the CFA is already actively looking for solutions in order to ensure the survival of the Chinese Super League teams and the Chinese Super League.
