The Chinese Football Association (CFA) released the Regulations on the Administration of Professional Club and Team Names of the Chinese Football Association (Trial) on the morning of January 3rd. According to the new regulations, each club in the new Chinese Super League season can register seven foreign players and use up to five foreign aiders in matches.

The increase in the number of foreign aiders is not surprising, in fact, since the Chinese Football Association (CFA) carried out a new round of change in mid-October last year, the new president Song Kai has expressed his idea of adjusting the league's foreign aid policy. From the process of the Chinese Super League teams participating in the AFC Champions League this season, the situation of "foreign aid is not good enough and the performance is not satisfactory" is still very obvious. In this case, the Super League on the relaxation of foreign aid quota calls for very high. In addition, in the view of the industry management and a considerable number of clubs, further relaxation of the foreign aid quota to optimize the competition between players within the club, and promote the elimination of the best and the worst of the staff is also beneficial.

In response to this situation, the league has adjusted the number of foreign aiders for the new season: Super League teams can register seven foreign aiders, with a maximum of five foreign aiders per game, and a maximum of five foreign aiders on the field; and Central League A teams can register four foreign aiders, with a maximum of three foreign aiders per game, and a maximum of three foreign aiders on the field. In addition, there is no quota restriction on newly introduced domestic players for each Chinese Super League, Chinese First Division and Chinese Second Division club.

The first transfer window of the new season will officially open on January 4th and will close on February 28th.
