Croatian soccer team Osijek announced on Dec. 18 that 27-year-old midfielder Ivan Fioric will join Chinese Super League side Tianjin Jinmen Tiger.
This is the first officially announced reinforcement for the Chinese Super League team for the new season. According to an announcement made by Osijek, Fioric terminated his contract with the team and is now joining Tianjin Teda as a free agent.
Fiorici said, "I signed a two-year contract with Zim Tigers and started training on January 3rd. My will is to be able to stay there a little longer than the number of years stipulated in the contract."
Ivan Fioric, currently 27 years old, is a Croatian-born midfielder who was developed from the youth program of Dinamo Zagreb. In his past career, he has played for clubs such as Dinamo Zagreb, Lokomotiv Zagreb, Henck, Larnaca and Krakowija.Fioric joined Osijek as a free agent during the summer 2021 transfer window. This season, he has appeared in 15 games for Osijek, scoring two goals and assisting once. According to the current news, his market value is 850,000 euros.
Fioric played as part of Croatia's national team at U21 and below level and never had the opportunity to represent the adult national team.
