The CFA Job League Working Meeting was held in Suzhou on Nov. 26, focusing on exchanges and discussions on the admission and preparations for the 2024 season of the professional league.
Next season, there will be 16 teams in the Chinese Super League, 16 teams in the Chinese First League, and 20 teams in the Chinese Second League. By the 2025 season, the Central B League will continue to expand in an orderly manner.
In terms of schedule, the three-tier professional league will be fully restored to a March start date through an early access audit. Specific plans are as follows: the Super League is scheduled to start on March 1 and end on November 2, with 30 rounds of matches throughout the year, using a double round-robin home-and-away system; the First League is scheduled to start on March 9 and end on November 3, with 30 rounds of matches throughout the year, using a double round-robin home-and-away system; the Second League is scheduled to start on March 23 and end on October 20, with 28 rounds of matches throughout the year, and the first phase of the competition is divided into the North and South zones for 18 rounds. The first phase of the competition is divided into North and South double round robin for 18 rounds, the second phase of the competition is a double round robin for the title contenders and relegation groups, with a total of 10 rounds of matches.
In terms of policy: the number of foreign aiders has remained generally stable, while the use of foreign aiders is not permitted in the Chinese B League.
The 2024 F.A. Cup campaign is scheduled to be completed in eight regular rounds and will be preceded by the F.A. Cup Qualifying Tournament in January, which will feature the top two teams from the member associations to determine which 12 teams will advance to the first round of the F.A. Cup. The Super Cup matches for the 2024 season, on the other hand, are scheduled for February 25th or 26th.
In addition, according to the disclosure of the soccer newspaper, the new season will prohibit the transfer of different places, but there may be some conditions relaxed in the future; the team title will be carried out on the basis of the club's neutral name, which is still in the planning stage, and whether it will be implemented in the end needs to be observed.
