According to the Korean media "Chosun Sports", the former Fulin foreign aid, South Korean defender Jang Hyun-soo made his debut in the 9th round of the Qatar Star League and played the full 90 minutes on behalf of the Garafa team. This is his return to the field after six months since he successfully defeated cancer.

As he was diagnosed with a lymphoma tumor, Jang Hyun-soo underwent chemotherapy treatment in July this year. In September, he announced his recovery and ended his four-year career with Riyadh Crescent shortly thereafter. On the 24th of this month, Garafa announced Jang Hyun-soo's joining the team, and just 2 days later, he played for the team.

Jang Hyun-soo is a 32-year-old center back who has played for Tokyo FC, Guangzhou R&F and Riyadh Crescent. He also had the honor of representing the South Korean national team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. However, he has unfortunately been permanently disqualified by the South Korean national team due to allegedly tampering with documents related to his military service.
