Xie Pengfei:This is the result of everyone's efforts. I believe everyone is more satisfied with this result, especially the team's spirit is worth recognizing.
The 2-1 reversal of the Thailand game, you came on as a half-time substitute and played well. A key assist helped the team go beyond the winning goal, three great talents, a key pass, a breakaway, an interception and a steal. How do you rate your performance?
Xie Pengfei:Many of my fans and friends who follow me should have a better idea of what I can do. I felt satisfied after half-time because I knew what else I could do to better help the team.
You performed very well in the previous warm-up matches of the national soccer team, and the media and fans spoke highly of you. There were high calls for you to start from the outside. If you don't play well in Korea, will you regret it?
Xie Pengfei:The national team's matches attract a lot of attention. At the national team level, all personal gains and losses and personal emotions should not affect the good condition of the whole team, which is also the ideology that a mature national team player should have. However, according to the standard of a good player, we should not only be satisfied with the status of substitute or resting on our laurels, but also always keep enough hunger and desire for the game, so as to inspire the players to have a better state of mind and better performance.
The team will then have an AFC Champions League match, how do you see the team's performance in the AFC Champions League this season?
Xie Pengfei:This is the team's first time to participate in the AFC Champions League. So far, the performance in the AFC Champions League has a lot to recognize and a lot of deficiencies to improve. However, we have all gained a lot of valuable experience that will help us in our future careers.
In recent years, Chinese Super League teams have sent youth teams to the AFC Champions League, now that the first team can play in the AFC Champions League again, what is the different feeling from before?
Xie Pengfei:To be honest, I'm very happy to be able to play against these Asian teams again after such a long time. We often talk privately about the different styles of Japan and South Korea, which bring us different feelings of confrontation. We can also clearly feel the difference in pace and intensity between the international and domestic leagues, which is something we need to focus on and improve.
Super League, National Football League, AFC Champions League, three fronts and still in great shape, any unique secrets?
Xie Pengfei:As a matter of fact, there are more or less ups and downs in form during a whole year of competition. In the middle of the league, I suffered bone contusions in my left foot, wrist and foot during a game. Such injuries take a long time to heal and it's difficult to be at your best when you're not at your fittest, but these are the kinds of difficulties players have to overcome. I'm glad I've been focusing more on training both feet since I was a kid. When my left foot was injured and I was afraid to power through, my right foot's ability helped me maximize my ability to get through this difficult injury.
There will be some bad comments about Chinese players and Chinese soccer online. Do you usually watch the news? Do you feel uncomfortable if you see bad comments about yourself? How do you adjust?
Xie Pengfei:To be honest, I rarely care about other people's comments. This is a professional habit that I personally think is best developed at this age. I care more about my own feelings, because no one knows your own situation better than you do, and by constantly analyzing, prodding and working on yourself, it's much more meaningful than some comments and discussions from the outside world that you don't know what to say.
Any thoughts on the future? National team, club, and there will be an Asian Cup game in January.
Xie Pengfei:First of all, I hope the national team can achieve good results in the Asian Cup and play to help the team. Secondly, I hope Wuhan Three Town will continue to be competitive next year and bring Wuhan fans more exciting moments in the Chinese Super League.
