Who would have thought that Chinese Super League teams would be associated with stability, with wages owed throughout the year and disbanded every season, it was hard to imagine that Chinese Super League clubs would be ahead of other overseas clubs in terms of stability. But a recent survey released by a leading soccer research organization confirms this. The Swiss Football Observatory, a leading soccer research organization (CIES) released authoritative data showing the stability rankings of top league clubs in 48 countries or regions around the world, based on the average season rankings of a team's first-team players, with Super League teams Harbour and Taishan ranking in the top two.
The top 20 on this list are Shanghai Harbour, Shandong Taishan, Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid, Gonzaga Sapporo, Kawasaki Vanguard, Sade, Al Duhail, Peninsula Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Bayern, Heidenheim, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Liverpool, Athletic Madrid, and Slovaczko. The average season of Harbour players in the team is a whopping 5.39 seasons, Tarzan has 5.03 seasons, and Athletic Bilbao is third with 5 seasons, which is the average effect of only 5 seasons for these three teams. Real Madrid have 4.83 seasons, Bayern have 4.3 and Liverpool have 4.04.
It is worth noting that the stability of Asian teams is generally higher than in other regions. The biggest reason for this is that Asian clubs have a relatively low likelihood of being poached by Europe, with relatively few players leaving and fewer being brought in, leading to a phenomenon of low mobility and high stability. In recent years, Shanghai Port has been focusing on former East Asian players produced by Genbao Youth Training, especially those on the bench. The same is true of the Taishan team. The Luneng Soccer School provides players that basically fulfill the team's needs, resulting in many players never leaving the team when they retire.
The stability of Real Madrid and Bayern is also easy to understand. They already belong to the world's top teams, the lineup is stable, the peak of players is long, player transfers are basically from other teams to dig people, and then eliminate some players who can not play the main force, because of the stable performance, so the personnel change is relatively small. In fact, this kind of stability has advantages and disadvantages, such as Real Madrid, Bayern's stability is a good thing, after all, the player transfer will not be in the platform, ability and salary of a greater increase. However, the stability of the Chinese Super League teams is a bit worrying, which proves that our players are unable to enter a higher stage of development.
There is another thing worth studying about this list, and that is that the list studies 48 national and regional leagues, and apparently the Chinese Super League has reached the top 48 in the world. Why is the national soccer team ranked 70 or 80 in the world and the Chinese Super League in the top 48?There are a lot of ranked players in the world and the level of the national leagues is not high. Players are playing in European leagues like Africa, America, etc. Just like our AFC Champions League winners can beat African and North and Central American champions. So there is no doubt that the Premier League can be ranked in the top 48 in the world.
