The Chinese Super League has been over for more than a week now, with the first and second divisions coming to an end. the 2023 FA Cup final has only one match remaining, with the rest of the competitions finished. Preparations for the new Chinese Super League season are well advanced, with Dalian and Shenzhen already in the Premier League, while Sichuan Jiuniu and Qingdao West Coast stormed into the Premier League. However, they gained early access due to the clearing of salary arrears, which has led to more uncertainty for the new season. If you can't settle all the wage arrears by New Year's Day, then you won't pass the access. This seems to be a powerful drug, but it is also designed to avoid the dissolution of clubs before the start of the campaign.
Two clubs have recently received additional notices, namely Dalian Ren and Yunnan Yukun. These two teams were relegated from the Chinese Super League to the Central League and the Central League to the Central B this season. In fact, this is a chain reaction. Dalian Ren should be relegated to the Central League. If they return to the Super League, there will be one less team in the Central League, so Yunnan Yukun is eligible to return to the Central League. If that's the case, that means the team that should be in the Chinese Super League next season might not get access, so that Dalian Ren, who finished 15th in the league this season, could get access, and that's still when Dalian Ren could be done with the unpaid wages.
For all this information, the music department doesn't know anything about it, except to say that this could happen, but I don't know if it has actually been notified of the replacement. It's natural for some relegated teams to expect replacements, and replacements do happen quite often in recent seasons, but replacements require not only that they don't have a problem, but that someone else does as well. Although the time for submitting access material has been moved up a lot this year, straight to New Year's Day around March the following year, there's still some time before New Year's Day
The deadline for the first stage of league access materials was December 5, indicating that the FA had not yet fully received submissions from clubs and therefore could not give advance notice of who was replacing. Unless a club explicitly tells the FA I'm not playing next season, but that almost never happens. Now let's take a look at the 16 teams in the Chinese Super League next season. Some teams may have survival issues, but nothing serious. At least getting access should not be a problem. In this case, Dalian Ren and Yunnan Yukun have both received additional notices, which is relatively unlikely.
However, the present does not mean that the future is also impossible. after the first phase of access is over on Dec. 5, we should basically know who can't pass the access and who has a chance to make up for it. If there is a possibility that the Shenzhen team will be disbanded, then the team's survival is the biggest issue. If the Shenzhen team disbands, it does leave a Central League spot open, and Yunnan Yukun is more likely to get a chance to replace it than the Dalianese. Of course, these are still uncertain. Let's wait quietly for the FA access work to deepen.
