With a home clash with Nottingham Forest coming up in the 5th round of the Premier League, Brighton manager Robert Hürzeler gave a detailed analysis and presentation of his team's injuries, players' form and opponents in his pre-match conference.
Firstly, regarding the injury to the team's striker João Pedro, Hülzeler said, "He has joined the team in training on Friday, but we need to observe his physical condition further to see if he can complete all the training programs. We won't risk him playing, but he will continue to participate in training in preparation for his comeback."
Hülzeler also gave positive feedback on the other injured players: "Gruda is back on the turf and is expected to return to team training in the next few days. O'Reilly is doing very well and is doing all kinds of recovery training in the gym, while Milner has also made significant progress. I'm pleased to see all the players working hard on their comebacks and hopefully they will be back in action soon."
When asked if Weifel is likely to start in this game, Hülzeler said, "Weifel is an important candidate, and it is entirely possible that he will start."
Speaking about their upcoming opponent Nottingham Forest, Hülzeler spoke highly of them: "I'm not surprised that they got off to a good start. They have great individual ability, excellent style of play, compact formation and solid defense. In particular, they are very quick in attacking and defending, and once they win the ball, they will push forward quickly, which will pose a great challenge to us."
In addition, Hülzeler spoke about the team's plans to improve on set-pieces: "Set-pieces are an area where we can improve. Not only can it help us win games, but it can also change the situation at critical moments. We are trying to strengthen our training in this area, but it's not something that can be done overnight, it takes time and patience. Losing Gross as a set-piece specialist is a big blow for us, as he took a lot of set-pieces last season. But now we need to find a new set-piece taker, understand the players' strengths and optimize our passing strategy. All of this is a work in progress and I'm sure we'll make progress in this area over time."
