French football legend Petit recently publicly expressed his firm support for current Manchester United manager Jens Ten Hagar in front of the media, and expressed his strong disagreement with the recent wave of criticism surrounding Ten Hagar. Petit pointed out that the status quo of frequent managerial changes at United has made the coaching position incredibly difficult, and that the team's current woes, in his opinion, should be blamed more on the players than the coach.

"I strongly disagree with all the criticism directed at Ten Hagar," Petit said bluntly, "Coaching at a club like United is inherently challenging, especially when the management is constantly looking for changes, and the coach's situation is exacerbated. I've noticed that United's players seem more inclined to hide behind the manager than to bravely step up and take responsibility."

He further emphasized, "Manchester United has many talented players, and there is no doubt about their strength. But unfortunately, these players lack enough fighting spirit and team spirit on the field, and do not show the proper leadership qualities. I believe that the road to United's revival must start with the players' self-awakening and positive performance."

Petit also mentioned that the Premier League needs traditional giants like Manchester United to remain competitive in order to maintain the spectacle and overall level of the league. "The Premier League is eager to see Manchester United return to the top, but it won't happen automatically," he said, "The players must realize their responsibility to save the team with real action instead of continuing to rely on a managerial change to solve the problem."

Finally, Petit concluded, "Of course, the manager and the management also bear an important responsibility, but the soccer game ultimately relies on the performance of the players on the field to speak. United's players should now step up and use their talent and determination to fight for the future of the team."
