According to a report on September 12 by LiveBeat, former Guangzhou Evergrande player and former national team member Rong Hao broke the news on his personal social media platform about some of the situations at Zhejiang Greentown, the club he used to play for.

Some fans have questioned Rong Hao's "lack of loyalty", "low IQ", "pretentiousness" and "self-righteousness" towards Greentown. "Rong Hao responded.

Rong Hao: "I don't want $6 million for two years. You think I'm a big brand because I don't think I want money. In your understanding, I have a poor IQ? Where is retirement in Green City? Do you know that Green City doesn't have a gym?

Staff offices are not luxurious. The players' rooms have mold, rusty walls and clogged rainwater outlets. I think a good training environment would make me more willing to attend training, including the fact that I can get a minimal massage afterward, which is something Green City can't give."

Rong Hao joined Hangzhou Greentown in March 2010, then moved to join Guangzhou Evergrande in December 2011 before eventually returning in February 2022 to Zhejiang Greentown.
