Beijing Guoan defeated Nantong Jiyun 1-0 in the 22nd round of the 2023 season of the Ping An Chinese Super League. In the 60th minute of the match, Zhang Xizhe kicked a corner kick which was scuffed into the net by Ngaardew at the front post, and the goal was his first score for Guoan.
