After Bournemouth's 0-3 defeat away to Liverpool in the 5th round of the Premier League, Bournemouth player Elaura was interviewed by the Match of the Day program for an in-depth review of the match.

Iraola began by acknowledging that Liverpool were much better in the key moments of the game. He pointed out that although Bournemouth had goals disallowed and created other chances, Liverpool were able to capitalize on their chances and score at key moments when the game was open. He believes that there was no significant difference between the performances of the two teams in the opening exchanges, but once the score became 0-3, the efforts made by Bournemouth were of little value.

Speaking about his team's performance, Iraola said that Bournemouth lost their intensity and focus after conceding the first goal, which cannot be allowed. He felt that the team played well in the game and took their chances, but the reaction after conceding the goal was clearly not good enough. He believes that this could be a result of the team's youth and inexperience and that it needs to be improved in the coming games.

Speaking about the yellow card he was shown for dissent, Ilaura said it was a misunderstanding. He explained that he was not asking the referee to show a yellow card to the player on the field, but rather pointed out that his opponent was offside. He was confused about this and hopes that the misunderstanding will be cleared up.

Finally, Iraola concluded that this is not the first time that Bournemouth failed to score the expected goal when they created a lot of chances. He believes that at the top level of the game, when a team performs well, they have to take their chances or their opponents will surely punish them. Although he found it difficult to accept the result of the match, he also admitted that the team's performance in the penalty area decided the match and therefore needs to improve on certain aspects to improve their performance in the future.
