In last night's Premier League marquee match, Chelsea beat West Ham United 3-0 away from home, and after the match, accomplished player Jacquesson was interviewed by the club's officials to share his thoughts on the game.
Jacobsson began by expressing his love for the game, emphasizing that he would give his best to contribute to the team, no matter who the opponent was. "The most important thing for me is to be able to do my part for the team. As long as I can do that, the identity of the opponent becomes less important." He said.
Talking about the two wonderful goals he scored in this game, Jacobsson could not hide his excitement. He described in detail how the first goal came about, "Everyone thought I would pass the ball to a teammate in a better position, but I noticed the gap in the goal, so I decided to shoot, and the ball went in!" He was very happy with his decision and the timing of the goal, and believes it helped his team take control of the game early on.
As for the second goal, Jacquesson showed his calmness and confidence. He revealed that he decisively chose to shoot through the keeper when facing him and managed to put the ball into the net. "I've been working hard to improve my game and I'm really happy to score two goals and help my team win." He said.
Additionally, Jaksson talked about his assist on teammate Palmer's goal. He humorously stated that he knew that once he passed the ball to Palmer, the goal was assured because "he's Palmer, and we know he's very 'cool' in front of the goal!" The word "cool" in this case is the same as Palmer's name, "Cole", and demonstrates Jacobsson's wit and humor.
Finally, Jaksson said he feels like he has gotten stronger with each game since overcoming his injury last season. "I'm very happy with my performance and proud of the whole team's performance." He said. The young striker's confidence and fighting spirit has certainly injected more expectation and energy into Chelsea's future.
