To say that the worst team in the Chinese Super League this season, I'm afraid it must be the Shenzhen team has been plagued by various problems. Previously, the coaching team leader Chen Tao announced his farewell to the team, Xiang Jun temporarily served as acting coach.

Despite facing a lot of problems, Shenzhen, playing in the Chinese Super League, still needs a full-fledged head coach to lead the team. Now, Li Weifeng's name has surfaced as the former national team captain is the main candidate for the new coach of Shenzhen!

In recent seasons, the Chinese Super League has seen a succession of thrilling relegation battles, with Li Weifeng's figure appearing twice. The first was the 2019 season, when Tianjin Tianhai were in dire straits, in a situation not much better than the current Shenzhen team.

With the Sports Bureau holding the club in trust, Li Weifeng, who was originally the general manager, was announced as the team's head coach. He encouraged the players to keep fighting to get out of the relegation quagmire and eventually accomplished the miracle of relegation that originally seemed impossible.

Then came the 2022 season, and last year Guangzhou faced a tougher relegation situation in the Chinese Super League than Shenzhen does now, and it was hard to win. When all the fans thought Guangzhou City had locked up the relegation spot, Li Weifeng was appointed as Guangzhou City's head coach.

Soon after his appointment, Li Weifeng managed to lead the team to regroup their fighting force and gradually get on the right track. In the end, Guangzhou managed to surprise the outside world by being relegated.

Two successful firefighting relegation experiences have shown that Li Weifeng has a good level of coaching to accomplish the relegation target and field command for the team, and most importantly to fully encourage the players to pull themselves together.

Unfortunately, both Tianjin Tianhai and Guangzhou suffered the embarrassing fate of being relegated but disbanded, despite Li Weifeng's demonstrated ability to lead the team to avoid relegation as the team's head coach.

In the current 2023 Chinese Super League season, Shenzhen is facing a very similar situation to the two teams mentioned above, with two consecutive rounds of 0-5, the team has fallen into the relegation zone.

In this case, as a former captain of the national football team, Shenzhen soccer star Li Weifeng is likely to go to the Shenzhen team as a new coach to put out the fire!
