After the failure of negotiations with Dynamir Sport, former Guingamp head coach Slaven Bilic quickly found a new job - according to an announcement by Saudi Arabia's Hassa Conquest club, Bilic will replace Greek coach Giorgos Donis as the new head coach of the first-team squad. He also becomes the second Croatian coach in the club's history (the first was Santini, who previously played for Jiangsu Suning).

Bilic replaced Edwards as Championship Watford manager last September. In the opinion of the club's owner Gino Pozzo, Bilic had a successful track record in promotion. He hoped that the Croatian would lead the team back to the Premier League, but after Christmas, the record of the "Hornets" dropped sharply and they were getting farther and farther away from the promotion zone. It was only in March this year that Pozzo ordered Bilic to be relieved of his duties.

Pellegrino

Almost two weeks ago, Bilic received an offer from the Turkish Super League's Demir Sports and the two sides had agreed on a wage package. However, the contract was finally announced due to the huge commission demanded by the middleman: "We did not reach an agreement with Bilic, mainly because of the middleman. He asked us for a commission of more than 40%. In fact, after agreeing on wages, we received a second contract from them. At that time I was so upset that I just dropped Bilic." Demir Sport president Sanjak publicly revealed the truth in an interview with Turkish media.

In the end, Sanjak dropped Bilic in favor of the famous Dutchman, Kluivert: "In addition to Plan A, I always had Plan B and Plan C. When Montella decided to leave the team, we met with Guti and even prepared the contract. Bilic was the new candidate we ended up negotiating with, but in the end, we chose Kluivert. Just like Montella, he is an energetic guy. I told him I'll give you a bonus if you finish fifth in the league, but Kluivert said he wouldn't accept it because he doesn't consider fifth place in the league a success."

However, Bilic isn't worried about not having a place to go, and despite previously turning down the Ukrainian and Bosnia-Herzegovina football federations, he eventually agreed a deal with Saudi Arabia's Al-Hassa. Bilic and his assistant will then fly directly to Austria to meet the big team. According to another source, Hassa Conquest have reached an agreement with Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez.
