In the 5th round of the Premier League match between Brighton and Nottingham Forest at home, Brighton striker Welbeck was interviewed after the match and gave an insight into the result, his personal performance and the future of the team.

On the result of the game, Welbeck expressed his disappointment: "When we went 2-1 up, I thought we were in control of the game, but the final score was a 2-2 draw. It's a really unacceptable feeling. The game taught us a harsh lesson, but it's something we have to carefully analyze and address on the training ground. We need to make sure that in future matches, if we are in a similar lead again, we can keep our composure, continue to play to our strengths and not let such regrets happen again. Today's result is really frustrating and the players, the club and the fans are disappointed with it."

Talking about his goal, Welbeck was more satisfied: "In the last few games, I had some good chances, but I didn't capitalize on them. Today, the free kick fell into a position where I felt I could score, and I'm glad I was able to capitalize on it. Of course, scoring goals is only part of the game, what we want more is to win the game. Now, we need to turn our attention to the next game and keep working hard for a better result."

On Brighton's unbeaten start to the season, Welbeck sees it as both motivation and pressure: "We have a great team atmosphere and culture in the dressing room, and everyone wants to improve and contribute more to the team. The undefeated start has shown us our potential, but it has also made us realize that there is still a lot of room for improvement. We can take positives from being undefeated, but also use the disappointments of today and last week to motivate us to get better. At times, we can look a little naive in games, but that's where we need to grow and improve. We will look back on these moments, learn from them and try to do better in future games."
