Today, Yang Xu posted a video on social media of him tearing down his name tag in the Shanghai Shenhua locker room. In the text accompanying the picture, he wrote: "See you in the jianghu!"
Yang Xu announced his retirement on April 11 and said he will focus on youth training in the future.
