Al Ain went down 0-1 to Dubai in the 20th round of the UAE Premier League which ended early this morning.
When the match reached the 81st minute, a hilarious scene occurred on the field. As Dubai's No. 21 Mendes was carrying the ball, the referee next to him suddenly lost his balance and fell to the ground. He then did a scoop to put Mendes down while ruining his team's chances of a counterattack.
The Dubai Victory players were quick to find the referee and went for his "tactical foul" theory. Among them, former Chinese Super League (CSL) foreign aid player Memishevich was the first to take the brunt of the blame. He walked up to the referee and showed him the "yellow card", to which the referee smiled awkwardly in response.

Nonetheless, the episode didn't detract from Dubai's victory and they ended up with three points as they beat Al Ain 1-0 away from home.
