Liverpool beat Bournemouth 3-0 at home in the 5th round of the Premier League last weekend, and after the match, goalkeeper Keleher, who had a great performance, was interviewed by the club's officials to share his thoughts and feelings about the match.
Kelleher couldn't hide his joy at the win: "I'm very happy that we won this game, I think we played very well. It was a great game, and although we had a few setbacks last weekend, the team picked themselves up quickly and responded to the skepticism. Winning two games in a row has given us back our confidence and form, which is very important."
Regarding the one hiccup in the game - Semenyo's goal that was disallowed for offside shortly after the start - Kelleher said: "After that goal was disallowed, our whole team was more focused on the game. Maybe this incident made us more alert, and we then showed a very high level of competitiveness. We scored the first goal very quickly and followed it up with two more, and the team as a whole played very well."
Kelleher also highlighted his team's performance after the goals: "When we take the lead in a game, especially when we score quickly like this, it is very difficult for the opponents to find another chance to turn the game around. After the first goal, the whole team got into the mood, and the second goal came soon after. It speaks volumes about the cohesion and fighting spirit of our team, and all the lads did a fantastic job."
Finally, speaking about his performance, Kelleher said modestly and confidently, "As a goalkeeper, I know I don't get many chances to play sometimes, but whenever I have the chance to stand on the pitch, I give it my all. I'm glad I made some key saves in this game and helped the team achieve a shutout. This is a huge boost for me and I will continue to work hard to contribute more to the team."
