Beijing Guoan are speeding up the transfer of Arijan Ademi after the arrival of general manager Li Mingfei in Zagreb - according to Croatian journalist Ante Sučić: Dinamo Zagreb have allowed captain Ademi to join Beijing Guoan, with an expected transfer fee of between 500,000 euros and 1 million euros. Unsurprisingly, this round of strong conversation with Osijek will be Ademi's farewell match at Dinamo.

Ademi

Born in Sibenik, Croatia, and an Albanian himself, 31-year-old Arijan Ademi made his debut in 2008 from his hometown team, Sibenik. Under the careful development of Ivica Kalinic and Branko Karacic, he became an absolute starter and captain of Sibenik at less than 19 years old.

Ademi led Šibenik to a runner-up finish in the Croatian Cup in the 2009/10 season, and he also joined domestic class rivals Dinamo Zagreb at the end of the season for a transfer fee of 400,000 euros.

Ademi

Although Ademi was banned for a long period of time, he has still been Dinamo Zagreb (20 titles in total) for the last 12 years with his tough style and great leadership qualities, and even in the eyes of many loyal fans, his contribution to Dinamo is no less than that of any palace-level celebrity.

Going into the 2022/23 season, Ademi started to show their intentions, especially with the frequent upheavals at the top. This winter window, Ademi also received offers from Valencia and Stuttgart, but the meritorious captain stayed for the time being due to coach Ante Čačić (who is also the technical director) not wanting to lose two of his core at the same time (Olsicki joined Southampton in the winter window).

Last weekend, Dinamo Zagreb beat rivals Split-Hajduk to increase their scoring advantage to 11 points (Dinamo have one more game to go). With the league title essentially lost, CEO Vlatka Peraš and coach Čačić are no longer blocking Ademi's transfer.

According to renowned journalist Ante Sucic, Ademi has reached an agreement with Beijing Guoan FC on a three-year contract worth a total of €6 million. Although his contract with Dinamo doesn't expire until the summer of 2026, Dinamo won't demand too much for the transfer fee, which is between €500,000 and €1 million (Ademi is currently worth €4 million).

Dinamo Zagreb will welcome third-ranked Osijek this weekend. According to Ante Sucic, Ademi will bid farewell to Dinamo Zagreb after the tournament and officially sign a contract with Beijing Guoan.
