As March approaches, the deadline set by the Football Association for Chinese Super League clubs to submit their league entry qualifications is set to expire.
Unlike the past few seasons, the FA will not be delaying the submission of access materials as it has done in the past after Chen Xuyuan's fall from grace. This also means that more than one club will miss out on this season's Super League this year.
Recently, a number of domestic sports media reported that there are still three Chinese Super League clubs that have not submitted their entry information to the Football Association (FA). With only one day to go before the deadline set by the FA, these three clubs are feared to be difficult to pass this year's Super League entry qualification examination, which also means that these three Super League clubs are likely to announce their dissolution in March.
The names of the three clubs that still haven't submitted information about their access to the Chinese Super League, although not specifically identified by the media. However, from the actual situation of the Super League clubs, we can basically analyze who these three clubs are?
A total of 15 teams stayed in the Chinese Super League last season, and the top 10 are unlikely to be so poor that they can't even make up for their players' unpaid wages. Of the five remaining teams, Guangzhou City has turned the corner and can stay in the Super League for the new season.
Changchun Yatai, although the club is not rich, the situation of salary arrears is not as serious as several other teams. Last season, the team sent away a number of highly paid starters who could not even submit their CSL entry information. Therefore, the remaining Dalian Ren, Cangzhou Lions and Shenzhen are most likely to be the three teams that have yet to submit their CSL access information.
The recent news is also in line with the actual situation. In the past, Dalian Ren club accumulated too much debt, and Wanda Group has withdrawn and is not obliged to pay to help the club fill the hole. Therefore, the situation of Dalianren is still dangerous.
Compared to the Dalian people, the Shenzhen club is in a worse situation. Currently, their debt is up to 3.5 billion yuan. No company can spend so much money to help Shenzhen club pay off their debts. As a result, Shenzhen is one of the most dangerous teams in the Chinese Super League and could be dissolved at any time.
The Cangzhou Lions are not in as serious a situation compared to the Dalian Ren and Shenzhen teams, but there has been recent news that the club has a serious wage arrears problem. It is reported that Kante, the foreign striker who joined the team in the second half of last season, owes more than three months' salary in half a year, which is enough to prove how serious the Cangzhou Lions' salary arrears are.
From the current situation, this year's qualifying examination for admission to the Chinese Super League, the Football Association will not leave a trace of affection for the clubs, so the Dalian people, Cangzhou Lions and Shenzhen team is only one step away from dissolution.
In this case, most of the starters from these three teams have left the team. Tong Lei, Sun Guowen and Dong Yanfeng of the Dalianese have all found new homes, and Lin Liangming is likely to join Beijing Guoan. Shenzhen's Dai Weijun is also involved with Guoan. He will be free to join Guoan once the team is disbanded.
Cangzhou Lions' biggest foreigner Kante has also officially terminated his contract with the club. Whether he will join the J-League for the new season or stay in the Premier League remains unknown.
In addition, the dissolution of the three teams mentioned above will also directly result in the 2023 Chinese Super League not being able to open properly. Even if there are other Chinese first division teams, the schedule will be greatly affected, not to mention the fact that most Chinese first division teams have no desire to go beyond.
