Veteran team Shanghai Shenhua has completed its buildup to begin preparations for the 2023 Chinese Super League. Last season, Shanghai Shenhua, coached by local manager Wu Jingui, performed poorly. Qin Sheng and Zhao Mingjian, who also came from Yiteng's youth training, were considered favorites of Zhou Jun, the general manager of Shanghai Shenhua Football Club.
