On February 15, Chinese Super League promotion horse and old powerhouse Qingdao Hainiu officially announced the first signing of Ma Xingyu and Xu Dong to join the team. This is Ma Xingyu's second time playing for his hometown team. He was born on November 4, 1989, and made his debut in Luneng's youth training program. After entering the professional game, he played for Chinese Super League giants Shandong Taishan from 2008-2012, and became a member of the team's "youthful whirlwind" in the 2012 season under Dutch coach Teng Kart, making his debut in a number of matches.
