Due to the worsening environment in the Chinese Super League, many foreigners who have excelled in the league have fled the league over the past two years, with Adrian having played for Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic, Guangzhou R&F, Shanghai Shenhua and Henan Songshan Longmen.

Although he still has a one-year contract with the club, Adrian has terminated his contract with Songshan Dragons early at the end of last season and soon returned to Poland. In a recent interview with Polish media, Adrian said: "I terminated my contract with the club early because I didn't want to go back to China to play soccer. Now I am a free agent and can join any club.

But I don't want to go back to Poland to play because the salaries in the Polish league are too low and my main task now is to earn money. I want to play in a city with an ocean and give my children a better education in an international school."

Additionally, Adrian spoke about the environment in the Chinese Super League, saying, "Chinese soccer has been declining since the start of the epidemic, and with the Chinese Super League adopting a match system for the third year in a row, the music department's revenue has been greatly affected. As a result, many teams' foreigners left China before I did."

Adrian, 36, landed in the Chinese Super League in 2018 and his first club was Changchun Yatai. Although Adrian had three goals and eight assists this season, Yatai's overall strength was too weak and he dropped into the Chinese league after losing to Dalian in the final round of the league.

For the 2019 season, Adrian left Changchun to join Chongqing Lifan. The time spent playing for Chongqing was Adrian's best phase in the Chinese Super League. In just one and a half seasons, he scored 10 goals and assisted 14 times for Chongqing.

Thanks to Adrian's outstanding performance, Chongqing performed well in the first half of the 2020 season and entered the Champions League group to finish relegation ahead of schedule. In order to save the club's expenses, Chongqing loaned Adrian to Guangzhou R&F in the second half of the league season. in six rounds of the Chinese Super League, the Polish midfielder scored two goals and contributed four assists to help Guangzhou R&F complete their relegation mission.

In the following 2021 season, Chongqing loaned Adrian to Shanghai Shenhua. Despite clashing with then-Shenhua coach Cui Kangxi, Adrian contributed five goals and two assists to the team this season, making a huge contribution to Shenhua's early relegation finish.

Instead of staying at Shenhua after this season, Adrian joined Henan Songshan Dragons on a free. Last season, Adrian became the core of Henan's midfield organization and attack, scoring 6 goals and 12 assists for the team, becoming the team's assist king.

However, due to the worsening environment in the CFL, the Songshan Dragons music department also had issues with unpaid wages. Under these circumstances, Adrian decided to terminate his contract with the music department early and posted a document on social media to find himself his next home.

Although Adrian is about to turn 37, he has no plans to retire. However, at this age, it is difficult to find a job in the Europa League. Perhaps joining Dalian in the winter window would be a good option, as Dalian is a coastal city with a pretty good international school in the area
