Chengdu Rongcheng defeated Wuhan Sanzhen 1-0 at home on the night of December 23, in the 32nd round of the Chinese Super League. In the second phase of the match, Malcolm hit Rongcheng player Liu Tao with a free kick in the penalty area, but referee Shi Zhenlu did not penalize the penalty kick.
The match between Rongcheng and Samchung was a four-way tie during the 90 minutes of regular time. Despite the dominance of Wingtown's offense, Samchung also had two shots on goal that hit the frame. But the drama of the match really came when the game went into extra time.
First, substitute Felipe turned and shot from inside the box, but in slow motion, Felipe's hand pushed Gao Zhunyi. The foul wasn't particularly obvious, but the attacking side was profitable after all.
Malcolm Free Kick
In the fifth minute of extra time, there was another controversial call for a handball in this penalty area by a Rongcheng player. Malcolm took a free kick in front of the penalty area and the ball hit Liu Tao's hand and bounced off the line. As far as the video replay and pictures are concerned, the Sungai player did indeed take a handball, but Shi Zhenlu did not penalize the penalty kick.
If Wing had fouled the ball and scored, and if Sanzen had gotten a penalty, one for and one against, the outcome of the game could have shifted in the other direction.
